Bathing suit season?!

Not sure where March went, but here we are in the first week of April. Here in Georgia we've already had a few pool days... well days that it was hot enough to lay out- probably not so much on getting in the frigid water. Our apartment pool is open year around, however it's not heated. Unfortunately, I have an immense love for laying out and summer in general which lead me to put on my bathing suit yesterday and hit the pool. (Too bad its spring break around here and there were way too many annoying teenagers... I only lasted an hour) All this to say I was not ready to bare all (okay, not all) in my swim suit. So, for the past week I've been doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred along with trying to get my butt back in running shape. If you've never done this work out it's definitely worth the $10! She will kick your butt and the best part, for me at least since I work full-time, is that it's only 20 minutes a day. I don't have time to get a 30-45 minute run in every day so this is perfect! I have missed a couple of days, but I'm trying my hardest to do it every day so I can feel comfortable in my skin in a month when I'll be at the pool a lot. So, give it a try! P.S. Does anyone else think Jillian looks a little creepy on the cover of this?

And now a few motivational pictures and cute suits!

Pshhh no one really wants to look like that anyway...

**I get a lot of crap for talking about working out... No, I don't think I need to lose weight, I don't think I'm fat (so what if I tell my husband I am ha) and I'm not on a diet. I want to tone up, be in shape and eat healthy. So there :)

  1. I'm glad someone else realizes working out isn't just so you can be "skinny". I can tell when I don't work out because my body just doesn't feel as energized. I honestly feel people start to make changes when they realize taking CARE of your body is better than just a quick fix. And I'm glad you don't think you're fat because I'd punch you.

I'm a huge fan of Creeperton Michaels. Have you moved on to the other levels yet? She's definitely a butt kicker. I can run for two hours and lift weights and nothing makes me as sore as she does. I don't know how she does it.

Can't wait till we have houses next door and we can just go over to each other's pool: no teenagers. Maybe just babies. :)
